Damage from a tornado just north of the town of Fergus. There was extensive damage to houses, barns and trees and crops were also flattened along highway 6. Luckily, no serious injuries were reported despite several tornado reports throughout the area. This was one of 2 confirmed F-2 tornadoes that touched down in Ontario from the same storm (Winds of 113 to 157 MPH). The storm that produced the tornadoes went on to hit Toronto later that afternoon, causing widespread flooding.
