- I had the great honor of special
guest-hosting a trip across Malaysian Borneo for Exodus Travels.
Borneo is the 3rd largest island in the world, and is home to
tremendous biodiversity. We saw numerous species of primates
(including a tool-using orangutan making a rain hat), all kinds
of birds, reptiles & invertibrates, and we got to go to Mulu
National Park. The park is home to some of the biggest and most
spectacular caves in the world, where I got to document the evening
flight of millions of bats exiting Deer Cave.
-
- Unfortunately, the rainforests
of Borneo are threatened due to logging, population spread, palm
oil plantations and other factors.
