The cold air temperatures with
relatively warm lake water and a slight breeze combined to create
a variety of steam devils. These atmospheric conditions can create
a vortex of swirling steam that rises into the frigid air. This
morning there were a large variety of steam devils but they were
far from shore. Had the temperature been a few degrees colder,
they would've been closer to the shoreline.
The changing light conditions
of the sunrise made for a wide pallet of colours as well. |
