The presentation
was stellar. It was fantastic to see so many stick around, a testament
to your draw as Ive been to several conferences where the
room was practically empty by the end. Not so here! :-)
Sue Hilton

On behalf
of the Vic One program, thank you so much again for your time
and for your talk on Exploring Earths Extremes!
Our students were thrilled by the incredible images and stories
that you shared, and I sincerely hope that theyll be inspired
by your example to make a friend of fear although theyll
probably do so in a more mundane environment than an active volcano!
Carol Beattie
Vic One Program - Victoria College, University Of Toronto
All of our members deeply appreciated hearing your stories, and seeing your photos and videos last night. You are a true professional who Thinks Different and with a special ability to entertain, inspire and educate an audience. You have accomplished much, and will certainly accomplish many more unique things in your future travels. I like how youve navigated your career in a way that leverages your interests and abilities and in a way that helps others (scientific research and sharing your work, among other things).
Ron Mantay

Thank you for everything you did to make our event such a success George. You proved to be the most gracious presenter we have had the privilege to work with. Everybody was absolutely stoked to have been there. We really appreciate all the effort you put in.

Your enthusiasm and passion for what you do really shone through.
Cassie Quartermain
Executive Producer - Nteractive Consulting & Events Ltd.
It was an amazing experience watching the stories being told in person! It was thrilling to see the pictures; to hear the stories behind behind the pictures was jaw-dropping! Our audience was hanging on every word, and sometimes on the edge of their seats. What was most incredible was just seeing the majestic glories that our planet has waiting for us, and just how dangerous those awesome places can be.
Lyle Kuzik
Executive Director - Federation of Alberta Gas Co-Ops Ltd.
We were pleased with George's presentation and impressed with his ability to capture the audience's attention. There was never a dull moment as George kept everyone engaged as he spoke about fear to our audience of 4200+.
Andy Hafer

Karl Kannstadter

Thank you
again for a wonderful presentation. I was thrilled with the response
- I can't think of a better way to have kicked off our speaker
series. It was wonderful.
Caroline Land
Edmonton Public Library
What a delight
to have such an inspiring presentation kickoff the conference;
the photos and film clips were truly amazing. I always wondered
who was standing on the edge of the hurricane or other disaster,
documenting the action. Now I know, and I'm grateful for that.
Patty Williams
Executive Director - Pacific Northwest Chapter of the International
Society of Arboriculture
I have been
the fortunate recipient of a steady flow of very appreciative
comments about the Spring Speakers Series, some saying that it
was the best talk that they had heard in years. Over and above
the fascination that so many people have with the extremes of
nature, you have a rare ability to connect with the audience and
draw in each person as if they were sharing the adventure with
you.
André Préfontaine
Executive Director - The Royal Canadian Geographical Society
It was a
pleasure to have George visit the HSC Middle School last week.
He presented his awe inspiring videos from the Angry Planet TV
show and had many entertaining stories to share. He had our grade
7-10 students glued to their seats for 45 minutes and I am sure
they would have been captivated for another 45. Following the
keynote presentation, George met with smaller groups of students
to discuss their individual natural disaster projects. It was
fantastic to have him answering in detail the variety of questions
the students asked from exploding lakes, tsunamis and hurricanes.
He has an incredible knowledge and experience with the worlds
natural phenomena. George's enthusiasm throughout the morning
was contagious and the students, and staff were talking about
his stories for days following his visit. I would highly recommend
George, "The Master of Disaster", for a visit to your
school.
Mark Mitchell
Hillfield Strathallan College
George came
to our school with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for learning.
He presented to our grade 8-10's in an interactive and entertaining
presentation about the adventures and the extreme places on this
planet. George went above and beyond his normal duties as a presenter
and also met with 2 more classes during our afternoon academic
blocks. The students really enjoyed the experience they were able
to have with him outside of the main presentation. I was pleased
with the information within the presentations and with his ability
to match our curriculum depending on the class he was working
with. Over all, it was a great day with quite a bit of positive
feedback from both the staff and students.
Tim Rollwagen
Teacher - Lakefield College School
Your keynote
address was a sheer hit! Your enthusiasm is infectious, your knowledge
astounding and we could not have wished for a stronger close to
the EDIST Conference and Exhibition.
Jennifer Forde
Conferences & Education Services Coordinator - The MEARIE

George was
simply an outstanding motivational speaker who went well beyond
his speaking role to assist our Conference Team throughout the
entire conference. He was well received by delegates and made
a special effort to connect with each and every individual in
attendance.
If you have the opportunity to work with George, I know you and potential clients will be the better for the experience.
Don McLaughlin
Director - Alberta Teacher's Association - Science Council Conference

leading such great presentations! The kids were really engaged
- and I really liked hearing your messages of work hard, follow
your passions... Best of luck on your next adventures!

Working with George Kourounis at our recent TEDxMilton event was a pleasure and an honour. George fixates the audience with his tales of exploration and danger. The TEDxMilton committee was elated that George would take the time out of his busy schedule to come out to our Inaugural TED Talks event. We wish him well as his future engagements unfold and hope to see him back for a future TEDx event in Milton again.

SPARK Conference - King's University College. London, ON
George came to Trinity College School as part of the Mac Campbell Lecture series and enthralled a full house of students, faculty and parents with a dazzling audio/visual display and exciting and gripping tales of his world wide encounters with mother nature. The audience was captivated by George's presentation and his theme of always following one's true passion resonated with many students. The question and answer session that ended the formal part of the evening was thought provoking, but George's willingness to speak with a number of students informally afterwards also went a long way to making this evening a very special one for many!
Drew Allen
Trinity College School, Port Hope ON
What a refreshing and fascinating
presentation; one that should be shared with all! George's use
of video clips and photos during the presentation added to the
excitement of his stories and really captivated the audience.
Students continued to reference his presentation throughout the
day, a true testament to the impact his presentation had on Conestoga
College Students.
We thank you George for sharing your amazing experiences with
us.

George's enthusiasm, attention
to detail, and work ethic made working with him a very positive
and impactful experience. He is able to pull you into his stories
of adventure and exploration, and readily challenges audiences
to reflect upon their self imposed limitations. Having a recognizable
storyteller of his caliber continuously and personally engage
with the entire audience in such a unique and personal way is
a rare treat. I would highly recommend working with George and
would happily work with him again

George Kourounis is a top
notch speaker who truly cares about pushing his audience to new
levels of success. As a man who has taken risks that most
of can hardly fathom, George has the authority to demand higher
standards from those who are lucky enough to see him speak. I
highly recommend George Kourounis to anyone looking for big results.

Author of You Should Have Asked - The Art of Powerful Conversation
We recently had the privilege
of having George present at our conference for Emergency Management
professionals. George's passion for nature was clearly evident
throughout his session and kept the audience engaged with his
stories and images. How he tied his experiences in to meet the
needs of this particular audience was excellent. Despite
having celebrity recognition, his modest approach to his experiences
drew the audience into his adventures. His session was ranked
one of the best by the audience of the three day conference.
I would strongly recommend George to be part of any Conference
or as a public speaker at an event. While being engaged as
an audience, people will walk away with a greater appreciation
for the forces on this planet and the delicate balance we as people
share with nature.
