Mother Nature's Ice Sculptures

Lake Ontario Shore, Ontario - Feb. 09, 2007

Very cold temperatures and high winds have caused water from the shore of Lake Ontario to blow onto land where it freezes onto anything it touches. The result is a marvelous series of natural ice sculptures created from ice covered rocks, shrubs and trees. It's like visiting a very slippery, outdoor frozen art gallery with Mother Nature as the featured artist.
