Heavy Lake Effect Snowfall

Near Barrie, Ontario - Feb. 07, 2007

For several days now, severe lake effect snow has been hammering the traditional snow belt areas of Ontario. Today it was focused on the Barrie area which has received about two feet of snow or more. While having some fun in an empty parking lot, I did manage to get my truck truly stuck in the snow. It took about a half hour to dig myself out and get back on the road. A good reminder that if you're expecting a lot of snow, toss a shovel in your car. You never know when it might come in handy.
