- The April 2015 Nepal earthquake
(also known as the Gorkha earthquake) killed nearly 9,000 people
and injured nearly 22,000.
- I was part of a team from The
Weather Network, partnered with Exodus Travels, that travelled
to Nepal to document the recovery efforts, and see how the people
of Nepal have coped with such a devastating natural disaster.
We were impressed with the amount of progress that has been made,
but hints of the tragedy could still be seen throughout the countryside.
