Covid-19 - Corona Virus

Hong Kong - March 2020
For much of February and March, I was travelling through Tanzania, the Seychelles and Japan. While en route from Victoria, Seychelles to Kagoshima, Japan, I was stuck in Hong Kong for 2 nights due to flight cancellations. This was just as the CV-19 virus was really ramping up internationally. It was already widespread in places like China, Iran, and Italy. Walking through the Hong Kong airport while it was almost empty was surreal. There were very few people, and the ones that were there had masks on. At the time, I had no idea how widespread this virus would become. After coming home from Japan I self-quarantined for 2 weeks. As of this writing (April 2020) there have been over a million confirmed cases and 50,000 deaths attributed to Covid-19... And it continues to spread. It is now the most significant event in human history since World War II.

The few travellers that were at the airport were taking every precaution.
Unfortunately, a booking error caused me to have to remain in Hong Kong for 2 nights.

I pretty much had the plane to myself.
